2014 Tour of Remodeled Homes entry
Spring is in the air and Cascade Restoration is ready once again for another Tour of Remodeled Homes March 15th and 16th. Our entry is a charming Lake Oswego bungalow that a young couple has called home for many years. They often wished the house had a bigger kitchen and wasn’t constricted by walls dividing the small rooms. They simply wanted a kitchen where the family could gather to socialize and prepare meals together. Cascade Restoration & Remodeling and BWH Design teamed up to make the homeowners’ vision a reality. Along with creating a larger living space out of the original footprint, many upgrades were included. This home features hardwood floors, custom cabinetry, top of the line appliances, custom walnut-island top and granite countertops.

Cascade Restoration & Remodeling of Portland, OR is awarded 2013 HBA Remodeling Excellence Award for Whole House Remodel Under $250,000.00
“When the owner came to us with her project, she had just purchased this home with the idea that it would be her “forever home.” This 1950’s ranch was dark, unsightly, confined and outdated. Because this move would be a major down-sizing from her previous home, she wanted the home to have a fresh, open ambiance, as much storage as possible and a more efficient floor plan, all while staying under her strict budget of $200K. The home was all original and had no previous updates,” said Steve Pruitt, President of Cascade Restoration & Remodeling.
2013 Tour of Remodeled Homes
We just wrapped up another successful entry in the 2013 Tour of Remodeled Homes. Our entry this year featured a Lake Oswego classic ranch total makeover – a gourmet kitchen, beamed ceilings, stone fireplace, hardwood floors, central vac, heated tile floor and Sonos sound system– that now boasts an open and inviting space. The weather was absolutely gorgeous and Cascade Restoration & Remodeling welcomed over 350 visitors over the weekend.

The 2008 Tour of Remodeled Homes
As a premier remodeler in the Portland area, Cascade Restoration & Remodeling is once again excited to invite you to this year’s entry for the Tour of Remodeled Homes. Working with the existing foot print, Cascade remodeled this house not only to capitalize on the panoramic views it offers, but also conforming to the style of the neighborhood. Cascade chose to incorporate a Craftsman/Bungalow style for this remodel. “We wanted to show how we can duplicate the quality woodwork and craftsmanship details that old homes in this area have,” says the owner of Cascade, Steve Pruitt. “As with all of our remodels, we want the home to withstand the test of time using styles that will stay with the house forever. Homeowners invest time and money into their homes, and don’t want the remodel to be outdated in just a few years. Our goal is to ensure that when it’s sold, the new owner will not want or need to update the look of the home.

What is aging in place?
Aging in place means remaining in one’s home safely, independently and comfortably, regardless of age, income or ability level. It means the pleasure of living in a familiar environment throughout one’s maturing years, and the ability to enjoy daily routines and the special events that enrich all our lives. It’s the reassurance of being able to call a house a “home” for a lifetime.
